AOL UK has recently launched its AOL On Network, a premium video platform that come with both curated and original content. The launch builds off on AOL’s currently existing video offering through branded content distribution business, Be On and programmed video trading platform Adapt.tv

AOL’s owned and operated destinations, Parentdish, AOL, MyDaily, TechCrunch, and The Huffington Post UK, have also formed a part of the publishing network.

AOL on will be the places to serve as a video hub for all of AOL’s video experience. The Head of International Graham Moysey says that the AOL service was arriving to the market with a new offering at a time when there is an increasing interest and demand for online video from advertisers and consumers.

“AOL On is already the web’s largest premium curated video library and today we’re launching with some of the UK’s leading content producers and publishers and looking forward to getting many more on board in the coming months,” he added.

Success.

The AOL on Network has been extremely successful in North America, managing to achieve the number one spot in comScore’s video category with over four billion ad streams, and as the best premium digital video provider with over one billion content streams. Part of this success can be attributed to AOL’s venture into original content creation provided by AOL Original, an assortment of high quality original programming with amazing talents like Gwyneth Paltrow, Sarah Jessica Parker and Nicole Richie.

Along with the online video hub, a AOL On application will also be available in the UK in both the Apple App Store and Google Play store in the early month of April.
