Bytemark and GlobeSherpa Have Settled Their Patent Dispute.

GlobeSherpa Inc. and Bytemarke Inc. have recently announced that they’ve settled the patent infringement case brought by Bytemark before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Pursuant to the settlement, the lawsuit shall be dismissed and the companies with enter into a patent cross licensing agreement.


As part of this recent settlement, GlobeSherpa shall license the applicable Bytemark patent and has agreed o being Bytemark on as a subcontractor for the Virginia Railway Express mobile ticketing project.

GlobeSherpa provides a secure mobile ticketing platform for transit agencies, parking lot operators, and event management companies who are interested in moving towards open payments, open data, and mobile fare collections. During September 2013, GlobeSherpa launched its TriMet Tickets, the first multi-model mobile ticketing system in the U.S. They are currently working on bringing their mobile ticketing solution towards other major systems across the country.
