Easel Acquired By GitHub
Easel, a prototyping web app that allows users to prototype within a web browser has been acquired by Github. The acquisition occurred on January 6th, 2014 at an undisclosed value.
” We started Easel because we weren’t satisfied with the workflow of designing for the web. We believe that iterating on design should be straightforward and free of repetitive work. We’re excited to be joining GitHub to continue to pursue that goal.
What does this means to you,
our users? Easel continues to run as it has. We’ll continue to provide support and all of our paid plans will continue to enjoy their current benefits. We’re excited to begin this new chapter and hope you’ll love what we have in store. “
Easel will continue to operate and provide full support under Github.
Easel provides quick and easy prototyping solutions for project managers and product developers. A mockup can be easily created through their web based tools and quickly exported as html/css code to be used on your website. The tool has special features such as a drag and drop option along with custom css coding allowing designers to create a quick mockup with ease.
