“We’re sorry, but we can no longer support Facebook Messenger for Firefox, and it will stop working on March 3, 2014,” the message states at the top of the application. “We really appreciate you using Messenger to reach your friends, and we want to make sure you know that you can keep chatting and view all your messages on http://www.facebook.com. Learn more.”
Clicking on the “Learn more” link will only take you to a to a information message page on Facebook’s Help Center where the only section that has anything important would the the how to uninstall the messengers for both Windows and Firefox. These lead up to the fact that Facebook will no longer be supporting or developing any kind of application for PC desktop computers.
Before And After.
Facebook and Mozilla had originally launched the Facebook Messenger for Firefox back in December 2012. Facebook promoted the release of the application, with its features of IM allowing any one to talk with friends from any place on the Net. Mozilla where very pleased to have made such amazing partner for their debut of its Social API for the Net. Of course with all of this now ending, Facebook will only be promoting its own site to all users for now on.
