Google Naps looks similar to that of Google Maps except with different features. Once the a user has entered their location they wish to search around, it will take them to a map. If the user is lucky enough, they will receive a bunch of indicators that show how populated the are is for a good napping spot. The creator behind Google Naps lives in the Neatherlands, so that country has already been filled with some of the finest sleeping spots available.
Users in the U.S. have been busying adding their own comfortable dozing spots, For instance, Camino Real Park in Tustin California, has been marked as a spectacular napping location with added details that say “There’s an open space here under a tree. Awesome place to nap.”
If searching the area does not bring up and any indicators, then don’t fret, it just means Google Naps has not quite caught up there at the moment. Adding a prime napping spot is quite easy, simply click on the map and fill in your name, the reason on why this make a good sleeping places, and the type of nap that’s offered. There are four types of napping options to chose from: bench, bed, field, and bridge.
Google Naps had also added a message pleading to Google to not sue the developer, claiming this as a parody that they created to bring smiles towards all Google fans.
“Dear Sergey & Larry (and other Googlers),” they write. “Hello, please don’t be mad, this is just a joke, a parody. We don’t mean to damage your brand or anything, we just want to bring a smile on the faces of Google fans. So please don’t take this to court, we only have a few hundred Euros in the bank. And we also don’t want to go to jail because we’re too busy with other things at the moment.”
