GOQii Launches An Astonishing Fitness Tracking Band.

A recent startup company has come out of stealth mode and has released a press announcing a product that will help many people live a very healthy lifestyle. GOQii is bundling a couple of wristbands and human couches that will help users stay healthy and motivated by gathered analyzed data collected from their workout, and also helping to set up goals and offering advice.

“This is where wearable technology meets the world’s best experts and coaches, who together are trying to help you make a shift in lifestyle,” said Vishal Gondal, founder and chief executive of GOQii. Previously he had founded IndiaGames, the nation’s largest online gaming developers, before it was acquired by Disney sometime in 2011 for an amount of $100 million.

This high-tech wristband is available for free, but the services that have a price of $99 for up to six months or the an entire year for $179. While its quire costly the price does cover a daily real time chat with couches on the GOQii appilcation as well as a check in phone call that can only be used once a month. The professional fitness trainers who will be couching the wearer can also vibrate the wrist band with a remote control that will act as a motivational virtual pat on the back.

Behind GOQii

GOQii is based in Menlo Park, California, along with some offices in Mumbai. It launched its pilot programs with over 1,000 people in order to work out any bugs before release. Near the end of they year, they have planned to bring the service to the United States, Singapore, United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates.

The company previously raised money from angel investors, with an amount of over several million dollars, which also includes investors from Flextronics CEO Mike McNamare, EDventure’s Esther Dyson, Seagate CEO Steve Luczo, Google Senior Vice President Amit Singhal, Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit-Nene, and many more.
