Israeli Cyber Security Startup Fortscale Raises $10 Million.
An Israeli cyber security startup by the name of Fortscale, has recently announced its plans to move it headquarters to the Bay Area after successfully managing to raise a total of $10 million in funding led by Intel Capital and Blumberg capital.
CEO Idan Tendler had spoken during an interview that he wishes to retain the company’s R&D back in Israel but hopes to bring the headquarters much closer towards the larger area of their customer base are. It currently employees over seven people but plant to get upwards to 20 after opening its new HQ with sales, marketing and business development within the U.S.
“I am moving myself and my family there in the coming months,” he said. “We will probably end up locating the new headquarters in San Francisco.”
Fortscale was initially founded during 2012 and also included the Swarth Group among its backers. it uses Big Data analytics to make user profiles and behavior much easier to investigate.
“We come from the Israeli intelligence community and have experience at fighting hackers who are using IDs they have hijacked from inside the enterprise,” Tendler said.
Most of their his customers have tried to to do the analytics themselves and can save a large amount of time and money by employing Fortscale’s technology instead, he stated
“We serve a broad range of businesses in the financial, tech, e-commerce, retail and other sectors,” he said.
Intel Capital Director Uri Arazy Led his group’s investment and Managing Director Ken Elefant also participated during this recent round of financial funding.
