Pose Lowers Their Monthly Subscription Fee for its Cloud-based POS.
Pose, a sweeping, cloud-based point-of-sale (POS) solution for small-to-medium size retailers, announced today bold new pricing by offering its full-featured online POS solution for free to all U.S.-based businesses. As the cloud pricing wars spread from cloud computing to storage to productivity tools, Pose becomes the first mover in the race to zero for cloud-based POS. In doing so, Pose is paving the way for more SMBs to take their business mobile and to the cloud, while maximizing their revenues and profitability. Pose’s feature-rich offering provides, among other capabilities, an online cash register that helps small retailers keep real-time tabs on their business from anywhere, at any time, leveraging mobile devices.
Previously costing $49 per month, effective immediately, Pose is now making its cloud-based POS offering FREE – forever. By partnering up with select credit card transaction processors, Pose is now able to offer businesses some of the industry’s most competitive rates. For example, other online POS vendors charge north of Square’s 2.75% transaction fee, yet compare this to Pose’s transaction fee that will be as low as of 1.09% + 10¢ per swipe.
Pose’s new pricing comes with no strings attached, including no long-term contract requirements or plans to up-sell or cross-sell other relevant products or services to businesses. Nor are there other stipulations or hidden fees such as charging merchants more based on inventory quantity, number of customers, transaction volume, etc. Currently, there are several competing solutions that claim to offer a “free version,” but what SMBs essentially receive is a hobbled version of the software that provides limited usage which is often full of restrictions based on transaction volume, inventory volume, etc.
“We’re really pleased to be the first mover to democratize online POS for the millions of small and medium sized retailers out there seeking to bring the power of cloud computing to their stores. The reality is that vendors in our space have been living high on the hog charging SMBs for both usage of the product coupled with transaction fees that they also collect,” commented Dror Liwer, Pose’s CEO. “Pose wants to play fair, and we believe this is indeed a win-win for us and our SMB customers.”
In addition to its native integration with QuickBooks and multi-lingual, multi-currency support, Pose’s full-featured offering arms SMBs with a strong competitive edge, by gaining the ability to rapidly capture and analyze customer data and then set up tailored loyalty programs to reward customers for their continued support.
