Science Inc. Purchases Social Bookmarks Manager Delicious.

The technology studio whose platform is used to grow and scale businesses, Science Inc, has recently announced that it has agreed to acquire social bookmarking application Delicious and from Avos Systems, which was founded by Chad Hurle and Steven Chen, also co-founder of Youtube.


Science has spent for the past two years developing and investing in brands and marketplace companies. Having co-founded and invested in a total of over 40 companies, Science has backed breakout companies like men’s lifestyle brand Dollar Shave Club, pet services marketplace DogVacay, and Pinterest marketing firm HelloSociety, amongst many others. The acquisition of Delicious marks the first extension of Science’s portfolio themes to data content companies.

Science’s platform combines proprietary technology, process and audience in order to engage with customers. The platform is then leveraged to develop companies that Science starts, invests i, and purchases.


With this unique expertise, Science plans to lead the way with Delicious towards its next phase of growth, and maintain the features that million of user have come to love. Delicious manages submissions of more than 15 million links form a total of two million active users per month. Over a billion links are served daily from more than 200 countries globally.
