Thrive Consulting Group Launches Online Comms Platform.

Thrive Consulting Group, Inc. announces the launch of UThrive, an interactive digital platform that helps small organizations and marketing professionals create and refine communications programs that are powered by purpose.

The basic premise of UThrive is that no organization or marketing team is too small or under-resourced to be purpose-driven.

For $100 a month and an investment of two hours per week, UThrive members receive access to a comprehensive instructional platform that helps them define a purpose that becomes the launching pad for a robust communications plan that is continually refined.

“Small firms, freelancers and cash-strapped organizations such as non-profits often work off of the assumption that high-quality marketing communications training is outside their grasp. We created UThrive to help these organizations raise the bar through high-level insights and practical help,” says Thrive Consulting Group CEO Nathan Havey.

Beyond information and instruction, UThrive is unique because it offers an accountability structure that helps members turn plans into measurable results. UThrive modules give members one actionable thing to focus on per week and are designed to allow members to practice the daily habits that will reliably create effective communications.

The POWER OF PURPOSE

“UThrive was designed on the core assumption that purpose is an organization’s single most important strategic advantage,” says Havey.

Why is purpose so powerful? The answer lies in brain science:

The limbic brain is a person’s decision center. It doesn’t respond to logic, facts, figures or even language. It only responds to feeling and emotion – two things that an authentic purpose can galvanize extremely well for an organization.

“Being purpose-led in your communications is not about brainwashing or marketeering. It is about living and sharing an all-encompassing truth that is irresistible to the people with whom that purpose also rings true,” says Havey.

“We’ve been testing the science with a diversity of clients and we’ve found that a clear and compelling purpose is the key to effective communications, efficient systems, great teams, innovation and creativity, brand reputation, personal fulfillment, and financial prosperity,” he continues.

THE PLATFORM

UThrive is a self-guided portal that allows members to get clear on why they do what they do, get moving towards their clearly articulated goals and consistently raise the bar on their efforts.

Once logged in members are prompted to go through a series of fundamental exercises that will inform their eventual marketing communications plan. Modules and posts are upbeat and casual in tone and have been designed to be fun and engaging.

The first thing members do is to select the metrics they want to track. The metrics should always be connected to broader organizational objectives. Tracking them helps members see what’s working and what’s not on a monthly basis and design innovative experiments to increase their effectiveness.

Sales? Website hits? Story mentions? An active social media presence? A growing supporter base? – whatever the measurement, UThrive provides a way to track it from day one.

Module 1 takes members through the fundamental work of articulating an organizational purpose and setting goals. These exercises help members understand the power of a purpose and the importance of setting measurable goals in order to track their progress in achieving a purpose-driven mission.

Module 2 introduces the creative work of aligning a communications program to an organizational purpose through compelling storytelling. The exercises in this module help UThrive members become fluid with the sensory words and images that bring their purpose to life and animate all of their activities online.

With metrics, purpose and goals clearly articulated and storytelling resources at hand, the last activity in UThrive’s introductory series is to create a 90-day communications plan. This calendar allows members to plan tactics in advance, platform by platform. Storing these activities on the UThrive portal helps members apply rigor to their planning through consistent benchmarking and analysis.

The Wire is the section of UThrive devoted to weekly posts on the latest ideas, innovations and best practices in marketing communications from Thrive Consulting Group and outside experts. The Wire helps UThrive members stay current with the quickly changing world of online communications. Beyond aggregating information, posts in The Wire contain one or two actionable steps that members can implement within their ongoing campaign planning.

Quarterly, live online trainings conducted by the Thrive team give members advanced insights on focused topic areas and round out the UThrive platform offering.
